It's spring break! So far it has been good. A little crazy, but good. Before I start off on the title's picture-posting-pandemonium, I want to start off cheesily with a picture of JB and I. It's been two years now and I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for this man. It started off awkwardly and oddly and ended up being this fabulous connection-relationship-thing. Now we're an inseparable tag team. JB, thank you so much for being so supporting, encouraging, and keeping me straight when I start to get weary. I love you....a bunch.

@ Balboa Park...if you look closely you can see the columns of the Natural History Museum in ma shades :) |

Today is Saturday. It's 7:32 pm and I have had a very full day. I finally had the chance to semi-arrange my new(ish) studio area AND make my own duvet cover. I also had a chance to take some pictures, so here they are, folks!

Sewing can be very, very frustrating. For someone like me, who has only mastered the pillow case, this grey duvet was a mild beast. I bought the sheet set from Ross and was determined to make it work without buying two flat sheets. I am going to blame my hardship on the fitted sheet and its stubbornness :P Anyhow, I ended up doing this because I couldn't find any comforters or covers that I liked under 200 bucks. To dress up the grey a bit, I made those chartreuse pillow cases. I also bought a twin sheet set with this fun pattern so I could have a simple and cheap throw. |

For a little more "pop" I cut the pillow case the twin set came with in half and sewed it into a permanent pillow. I stuffed it with old fabric scraps and an old sheet :) It has a nice weight to it (perfect for slamming faces ;) and is really comfortable, go figure! The bedding didn't turn out exactly as I pictured in my head--always frustrating--but I think it is because I have had a very difficult time finding the fabric designs I have been visualizing. I am content with how it came out but I am going to put in "the work in progress" pile. |

This is my new work space!!! The desk is from ikea and has the capability to become taller, shorter, or drafting style. It has a light window for light to shine up through when needed. The little red and green booger in the corner is my new pet, Spike (original, I know). I am hoping his need for less water will help me aid in his survival. One of my most favorite things about our apartment is the incredible amount of natural light we get. We don't need lights at all until the sun has completely set. |

This is a closeup of my mini view of inspiration and encouragement. From left to right: "Free" by saraH wagner, a red paint sample I picked up in a scrap pile, a picture of my dad kissing my grandma from 1960, a photograph by David Masado, a piture of my brother and in sailor outfits, a picture of my little sister, a bird cage, and a picture of my treasure map. |

All the windeymoor necklaces that are waiting for that special neck!! I wanted a nice way to display them and hold them so I stopped by Home Depot and picked up a piece of particle board and some S-hooks. I strung some yarn and began to hang :) |

This is the face thinking about the 4 papers that get to be written over spring break. This is also the face thinking and worrying over grad schools and insecurity over the GRE's. |

This is the face that is trying to tell the other face that you have a year to think about that and a summer that is only a couple months away that needs to be enjoyed. |
I recently did a freelance piece for Sprouts. (I know it's not my beloved TJ's but I was helping a friend out) I made two identical chalkboards that looked like this:

Sorry about the positioning. I can't figure out how to rotate it!! Anyhow, I used masonite, one by ones, foam core, and paint, VOILA! |

Other than thaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaaaaat, I've been insanely busy. I don't plan on taking six classes while working full time if I can avoid it. The exhaustion finally hit me this past Wednesday when I could sincerely barely stay awake in class. My classmates were pointing and laughing at me, sheesh. I got to the point where I actually NEEDED coffee and not just wanted it. I am pulling good grades though, which is always encouraging for me. My school performance has always been very important to me.
In windeymoor news, I hope to get a couple new items made and listed this week, but I am not going to put it on the for-sure list.
Okay, I am done typing. I feel so out of it! It's like I haven't blogged in a year, gimminy!!
