The Album Leaf

I'm not going to lie...I've been having and enjoying a frickin rockin' break.
I've been on top of getting my books for next semester, parking permits, mailing things with haste, and have been making a lot more creative-oriented things than I anticipated for myself in these passed weeks...including food! Which is always a scrumptious plus.

With all the fun that's been done, it's hard to imagine a bigger cherry to a perfect sundae...but yesterday evening was epic cherry-topper folks...

THE FREAKING ALBUM LEAF @ THE CASBAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've known me long enough (or even within a short while), you probably have heard me mention the album leaf. You may not have realized what I was talking about or referring to but to make a long-never-ending-love-rant shorter, they are my favorite music geniuses and have been for a long long while now.

They played harmoniously...and their sound is angelic with that perfect edge, at least to me. Their set was even better than the last time I saw them play...but I am still as speechless as the last time. They're just breathtaking and I highly encourage you to check out their music and see them live!!
Besides, they're a local San Diego band, San Diego folk!

Ah, Jimmy. I love you...seriously.

side note: they also had a really cool projection thing going. during this song, they had certain words from the lyrics walking across the screen as they were sung.

Which is SO amazing to me : D Matt was freaking cool too. When I asked if I could get a picture with them he said, "Sure, it's a lead sandwich." PRECIOUS!

Meeting the people who have inspired and healed you is always a great thing.
